About Martin

Half a century at the drawing board.

Martin Bekebrede has been designing vessels in the Dutch tradition since 1974 — more than 133 designs across 43 series.

From the archive

"A vessel must be honest. It must do what it was built for, on the waters where it belongs."

Since 1974 Martin Bekebrede has been designing vessels in the Dutch tradition — working boats, sailing yachts, motor-sailers. His work spans more than 130 designs, divided across series such as Noordkaper, Danish Rose, Steeler and Lemsteraak.

The starting point is always the same: form follows function, craftsmanship follows tradition. No unnecessary ornament — but hulls that can handle the sea and cabins that are good to live in.
